Where is Bigton?




Bigton is a picturesque village sited on the west coast of the south end of mainland Shetland, approximately 18 miles from the capital town of Lerwick. It has the finest sand tombolo in the whole of the UK and St Ninians Isle, from which our yoal Ringansay was named, boasts treasure, a ruined chapel,an ancient broch site and many rare and beautiful birds and flowers.
